Year Long Group
This program will teach skills, safety and fun with the sport of Triathlon. The group will target a few kids TRIs during the year. Here are the details:
Coached workouts- swim, bike, run and resistance
ages 11-14
May-August will offer a Full Program Registration option
All Months offer register as you go option for a-la-cart sessions that fit in

Massage therapy is an essential part of any athlete’s regular training regimen. Not only does it promote relaxation and mind/body wellness, it also helps the body heal after grueling workouts.

Kelly Elfering MASSAGE THERAPIST
Kelly brings a unique combination of healing energy, skill, experience and intuition to her massage work. She specializes in Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage and Thai Massage. She combines her knowledge in all of these areas to enhance her clients range of motion, flexibility and over all wellness. Her goal as a Massage Therapist is to help people live more comfortably and peacefully in their body, by managing pain, reducing stress and releasing movement restrictions.

Markay Chamberlain. MASSAGE THERAPIST
Markay is a certified massage therapist focusing on sports and therapeutic massage at The Fitness Pursuit. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Robert Morris University and a Certificate of Massage Therapy from the College of Lake County. Her training includes sports massage, Swedish, myofacial release, deep tissue, connective tissue, craniosacral and relaxation techniques. Markay will design a therapeutic massage session specific to your needs. In the session, we can address stress reduction, injury prevention and recovery, pain relief, range-of-motion and stretching. Pre-event and post-event massages can also aid in reaching goals and reducing your recovery time.

The RecoveryAir used to be available for medical use and by prescription. The system speeds recovery by assisting in flushing the legs to remove the fluid and toxins while feeding with new nutrient rich blood. For more science see the Recovery Air site.
Using them helps! The system gradually fills from foot to upper thigh to push out, build up and then release to allow blood to flush through. This repeats over and over for the duration of your session. Here are the applications:
Before a Massage- 15-30 minutes before your massage, the Recovery Boots will allow your body to be warmed up, lose and have less edema to make for an efficient & more effective massage.
Before a workout- 15-30 minutes before a workout will reduce the warm-up time that often is needed by warming up the legs and flushing out post workout build up
After a massage- 15-30 minutes will help you flush out the toxins that often build up after the massage and lead to soreness
After a workout- 20-30 minutes will help you flush out the toxins and edema that build up and delay recovery leading to a reduced quality and number of good of workouts
Middle of day- 40-60 minutes in the middle of the day will help you recover from the last workout. Your body has built up toxins and edema from your workouts, limiting what you can do in the future
